J. Tyler Hawkins is a creative thinking introvert with a passion for writing, photography and traveling. A proud member of the LGBT community, J. Tyler was born in Oklahoma and now resides in Las Vegas, Nevada.

An executive in the casino gaming industry, J. Tyler spends most of his free time in front of a computer working on his latest novel or blogging. He currently writes gay fiction with an emphasis on M/M romance and the intertwined relationships of the family unit.

Taking inspiration from one of his favorite authors, Jackie Collins, who once said, “Whatever you have a passion for, then you must do it. If you want to write, write about something you know about.” He is currently working on his debut novel, The Jokes on You, which is a semi-autobiographal novel.

J. Tyler’s first love for storytelling and creating a world on paper was born at an early age, thanks in large part to his great-grandmother’s love for such soap operas as The Young and the Restless, The Bold and the Beautiful, As the World Turns and Guiding Light. The serialized storylines and interwoven fabric of the characters are vital parts of J. Tyler’s own writings.

As an author, J. Tyler’s work is extremely visual. In fact when planning his stories, he will dedicate four to six weeks of time in which he creates the visual images of his characters and the world that they live in.

When he’s not writing, J. Tyler can be found traveling around the country, spending time at Disneyland mixing it with his favorite Disney characters or photographing the ever changing and always entertaining Las Vegas terrain for his Instagram account.
